TiVoCID

TiVoCID is the ncid client configured for the TiVo.

The TiVoNCID client configuration is another way to display text.

TiVoCID is an alias for ncid, and is included in the NCID TiVo packages. It is used on series 1 and series 2 hardware.

TiVoCID requires the OUT2OSD package.

TiVoCID obtains the Caller ID information, and then pipes it to out2osd to display the text.

TiVoCID requires a hacked series 1 or series 2 TiVo, NCID and OUT2OSD
If you would like to use cidcall, cidalias, and cidupdate, you need to install Perl into /var/hack/bin. You can use Perl for TiVo Series 2
If you want to use ncidsip, you need: Perl for TiVo Series 2, Net-Pcap, and libpcap

TiVoCID works with the Linux/UNIX deprecated CID package from tummy.com,
